Well, I guess we all grew up! I tried not to for a long time, but at age 55 I guess I have no choice now! So here's a summary of what I've been doing with my life after LP High School. I now live in Spring Creek, Nevada (a small community in Northeastern Nevada about 6 miles above Elko). I left Oroville with my first husband and father of my two boys, (the oldest boy is deceased) and moved to Sonora, CA. We divorced a few years later. I moved back to Oroville briefly, then to Modesto, and finally settled in Sacramento, remarried and had a daughter in 1975. I went to work for the US Army Corps of Engineers as a Clerk Typist and retired from there as a Computer Technician. I worked as an apartment manager for about three years. Then I decided that, after 27 years in Sacramento, I was tired of the city, the traffic, and the ratrace in general. My brother-in-law asked me to visit and help him with his horses while my sister was in Maryland visiting her children. So I went to visit and stayed. My son came to Elko about 6 months after I did. My daughter was born and still lives in Sacramento. My son, Dale White, is 37 years old and works for a tree service. He is divorced and has 3 children (2 boys, 1 girl). He has been deaf all his life. My daughter, Amber (Holmes) Giffin is 33 years old and works for an environmental firm, is married to an Architect and has 4 children (2 of each). I work part-time as a PCA. I travel from home to home taking care of the elderly, disabled, and the mentally challenged. I find this very rewarding (but not very profitab...Expand for more
